Spontaneous Illumination – a beautiful night for celebration

Our third lantern festival was a spontaneous culture loving evening in the park with friends and family! Thanks again to everyone who helped make it a success! The key lantern committee members deserve special mention: Corinne, Wendy, Josephine, Bob and Jason. You rock! Here are photos of the night's events.

The evening started with the last minute table and friends and family bringing out their lanterns and decorating the park with spontaneous illumination!

As you entered Pirates Park, with white shells lining the pathway, we had one open tent up making a central area for cover in case of rain.

Thanks again to all the performers, volunteers and the Station 7 Fire Department for the hot chocolate! Here are some of the lanterns that lit up the park, including Carl's signature free-standing pathway lanterns:

Here are photos of some of the performers - young and young at heart! Thanks to this year's fire performers - Willow, Ocean, Daniel, Mina, Don and Paula. Amie takes credit for the following two photos:

A special thanks goes to Paul for keeping us musical all night long! Thanks to Amie for this photo:

Sorry I didn't get photographs of everyone. Feel free to email me more photos for posting and comments are always welcome. Once again, community spirit rules!
